General information about the job:

Metro Optic is currently looking for someone to fill the position of Accounting Analyst. Reporting to the VP Finance, they will be responsible for performing various tasks related to accounting and financial reporting.

Main responsibilities:

  • Execution of bookkeeping tasks (accounts payable, bill payment, billing, etc.)
  • Analysis of Financial Statements and explanation of variances;
  • Preparation of bank reconciliations as well as end-of-month entries;
  • Preparation and monitoring of monthly accounting estimates (accrued liabilities, depreciation, etc.)
  • Analysis and reconciliation of inter-company accounts;
  • Participation in the budget process and sales analysis;
  • Active participation in the preparation of audit files;
  • Classification and organization of accounting records;
  • Support the VP Finance in day-to-day activities and various special projects.

  • Understand and build Partner Channel to extend our reach and sell through others
  • Solution selling – identify customers’ business drivers and engineer tailored solutions
  • Nurture and expand existing customer relationships

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual, spoken and written (English/French);
